Hyderabad: Chittoor district is back in the reckoning by reclaiming the Chief Minister’s chair within a gap of just a few months.

The Telugu Desam, led by its party chief and CM-designate N. Chandrababu Naidu who hails from the district, not only got a thumping majority by retaining his Kuppam seat but also by leading his party to  victory after a decade.

After the former chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who too hails from this very district, stepped down from the post on February 19 this year owing to the developments in the aftermath of the bifurcation of the state, all eyes were on the Kadapa-Chittoor districts.
