Hyderabad: In the Seemandhra State Assembly there is only one Opposition party whereas in Telangana State Assembly there are eight opposition parties. Only three parties have representation in both Assemblies of Seemandhra and Telangana. Among them, there is only one national party.  The TD has come to power in Seemandhra.  The winners, however, include four BJP, 67 YRSC  and two Independent candidates.  TD and BJP  contested in an alliance,  which means  YSRC will be the only Opposition in the Assembly.

In the Telangana State Assembly, there are  nine political parties, including the ruling party TRS, leaving eight parties in the Opposition as the TRS has no allies. The main Opposition will be the Congress along with the TD, MIM, BJP, YSRC, BSP, CPI and CPM. For the first time BSP will be  represented in  the Telangana state Assembly.

Meanwhile, in both AP and Telangana State Assemblies TD, YSRC and BJP will be represented.  BJP will be the only national party represented in both houses. The TD is a regional party while YSRC is a registered party.  The TD has representation in Telangana state Assembly  but TRS has no representation in AP state Assembly.
