Tata Global Beverages acquires 100% stake in Australian firm
Bronski Eleven is engaged in coffee business under the MAP brand
New Delhi: Tata Global Beverages said its UK subsidiary has acquired 100 per cent stake in equity capital of Australia-based Bronski Eleven Pty Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
Bronski Eleven is engaged in coffee business under the MAP brand, Tata Global Beverages said in a statement. The company said this investment is in line with Tata Global Beverages' vision to become a leader in natural beverages- tea, coffee and water.
Commenting on the development, Tata Global Beverages MD and CEO Ajoy Misra said: "The acquisition in Australia will help Tata Global Beverages further expand its offering in Australia to include coffee. It also helps us strengthen our portfolio in the high growth contemporary 'single serve business'." "MAP has significant presence in the R&G (Roast & Ground) coffee and in Pods (single service portions) category in Australia," it added.
Tata Global Beverages is already present in the pods segment in the USA through an agreement with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters' Keurig single serve machines for Eight O Clock Coffee. It is also present in the single serve segment in Canada with Tassimo, for Tetley tea.
