Vijayawada: With the Telugu Desam set to form the government in AP, the software industry is expecting good times ahead in the state, particularly in Vijayawada.

Techies and employers are hoping that the new government would set up an IT corridor alongside Gannavaram and Eluru and announce incentives for the sector.

“Many companies and entrepreneurs had been waiting to know who would form the new government, before setting up their companies here. We expect a lot of companies to rush to the city, as the TD has won,” said one of managers of Medha IT Park, located at Gannavaram.

While some companies plan to set up offices in the plug and play Medha IT Park and the upcoming Software Technology Park in the premises of Polytechnic college in city, companies already established in Krishna and Guntur districts are shifting their offices to Medha IT park, expecting more software complexes to come up there.
