Hyderabad: When Kajal Aggarwal recently uploaded a midriff-baring photograph of hers on her Facebook page, many of the comments were  disturbing. While the snap got more than 2.5 lakh likes, the comments ranged from the mundane “rocking” to the shocking “What is the instrument in the triangle????”, “This is what we call The Bermuda Triangle” and  “Watz that mess... belly delly”.

When it comes to celeb trolling, Kajal is not alone. Tamannaah, in fact, is known as the “Navel Queen Tamanna Bhatia” by many of her fans, who have made a Facebook page with the same name. Whereas another photograph had the fan commenting, “looking like a waiter in a B-grade hotel”.

Ileana recently had to take off a comment on a photo of hers wearing kitten socks on which she had written, “I’ve got kittens on my socks today”.

The lewd comments that followed ensured that she removed the picture post haste. Another of Ileana’s picture was termed “too hot and disturbing”. Samantha, meanwhile, was subjected to a hate attack when a fan randomly commented: “Why u not die demon b***h? (sic)”

If this had happened to any one of us, we would have got angry, reported abuse and perhaps even filed a complaint of cyber bullying. But celebrities either ignore the comments or quietly remove them to avoid a fuss.

“The best thing to do, personally, is to ignore such comments. I am usually flabbergasted when fans comment that way and as to what were they really thinking,” says actress Nisha Aggarwal adding, “It’s never just one person writing weird or disgusting things, and you can’t file a complaint against an army of them.”

Nisha also adds that actors do keep a track of their respective accounts and delete comments that are inappropriate. “I check 70 per cent of the comments, but I do also have a team that keeps moderating such embarrassing contents.”

Actress Adah Sharma, too feels that you can’t react to each and every comment. “If you start replying or moderating each and every comment then you’ll be in front of the computer forever,” she says. “As an actor, you do receive the adulation and on the flipside, you have this. Fans had posted random pornographic images on my page, which I had no clue about in the beginning.”
