Mumbai: Imran Khan does credit Karan Johar and his banner for making 3 films with him including ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ which had outstanding music to its credit. However, the debacle of Punit Malhotra’s ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mei’ has changed the equations between the leading actor of the film and the producer.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Dharma Productions has not approached the actor for any of their upcoming projects. Shakun Batra, who made a directorial debut with ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ starring Imran Khan, is making his second film with some other actor.

After the release of ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mei’, which was a disaster, Imran and Karan had a showdown and it reached to a point, where the actor offered to return the paycheck he had got for the film. Regarding this incident, he was quoted saying, “You should be asking this question to Karan and not me.”

Talking about Karan Johar, he was quoted saying, “Karan gave me a hit when I needed it the most. We made three films together which are very close to my heart. However, currently we are not working on anything but I still hold the banner in the highest esteem.”

Years back, when Imran and Avantika tied the knot, it is believed that Karan Johar had designed the dresses for the couple.

Imran Khan is currently on a paternity break and has dedicated all his time for his wife Avantika, who is due soon.
