99% pass ICSE Class X
Girls outperform boys with pass percentage of 99.13
Hyderabad: City students have come out with flying colours in the ICSE Class X examination, the results of which were released on Wednesday.
Neeharika Sri Pranavi Sekuru and Pratyusha Madhnure, students of Johnson Grammar School, Habsiguda, scored 97 per cent in six subjects. The school achieved 100 per cent results with 54 students securing above 90 per cent marks.
Sama Raghavendra Tejaswi of Sri Aurobindo International School, Vidyanagar secured 96.5 per cent marks. He scored 579 out of 600.
K. Pravar and V. Nikhil Reddy, also from the same school, scored 96 per cent and 95 per cent respectively. The school achieved 100 per cent results.
Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, achieved 100 per cent results with all the 210 students declared passed. Rachita Dass topped the school with 95.5 per cent marks. Over 25 students from the school scored above 90 per cent marks.
From Niraj Public School, 91 students cleared the exam, and 88 have secured distinction. The school topper was Chimayi Lanka, who got 95.3 per cent.
Gitanjali Devshala school students performed better with 28 students scoring over 90 per cent and 64 out of 78 getting distinction. The school topper was Aishwarya Chandra who scored 581 out of 600 in six subjects.
From Kalpa School, all the 61 students cleared the exams and 10 students scored above 90 per cent. Satya Sajaa topped the school with 97.4 per cent marks. In all, 6,711 students from 86 ICSE schools across the state had appeared for Class X exams this year. The overall pass percentage of the state stood at an impressive 98.90.
Out of 3,363 boys, 3,318 have cleared the exams with a pass percentage of 98.66. Girls outperformed boys with 99.13 per cent results. Out of 3,348 girls, 3,313 were declared passed.
The ICSE examination was conducted in 66 subjects of which 22 are Indian languages and 14 are foreign languages.
