Fake Telangana staff to face legal action
Nativity issue is creating hiccups in governor's trial run of administration
Hyderabad: Telangana employees’ associations have decided to file police cases against Seemandhra employees who submitted fake certificates to secure postings in Telangana. They have also decided to file petitions in courts against allotment of Seemandhra employees to Telangana.
This confrontation between Telangana and Seemandhra employees puts in jeopardy Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan’s plan to have trial runs of the administration before the official date of separation, June 2, to iron out any glitches.
Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers’ Association president G. Devi Prasad Rao said they are in the process of collecting details of Seemandhra employees who secured postings in Telangana by submitting fake nativity certificates.
“We will lodge complaints in police stations against such Seemandhra employees. We have also consulted Telangana advocates over the issue, who advised us to file petitions in courts against them,” Mr Rao said.
He urged Telangana employees in all government offices to remain alert and collect the details of Seemandhra employees who were posted against the rules.
The Governor has set a deadline of May 25 for all departments to complete division of employees and start ‘mock administration’ from May 26. This is to ensure that the administration in both states is ready by June 2, when the states start functioning as separate entities.
