Samsung Music will shut shop on July 1
The smartphone giant will close its shutters on its Samsung Music app
Is this a first move to cutting down bloatware? Or is it simply looking at cutting costs on the loss-making service?
Samsung has announced to all users that the Samsung Music service, aka Music Hub, will no longer exist post July 1.
According to information on Techradar, the company has sent an email to all Samsung Music users that the service will no longer be available from July 1. Samsung also mentioned in the email that while the service is still active for a little more than a month, the users should take advantage and download all purchased content and use up any remaining vouchers before July 1, 2014.
The Music app is just one of the many Samsung Services. There is no news on other services such as Video, Books, Games, Learning or Apps having any effect on the same grounds.
