After May 16, Rajinikanth tweets again on the day of 'Kochadaiyaan' release

The agency handling the superstar’s account has received a lot of flak for not handling his twitter debut properly

Rajinikanth, on his twitter debut on May 5, made all his others news item appear small. After all, the man who is worshipped in many parts of the world was giving them a chance to directly connect with them.

However, the debut, which earned him a record of maximum followers in a limited span of time, came under a lot of scrutiny for its automated replies in thousands.

However, after several delays, Kochadaiiyaan, has finally released today, May 23 with fans queuing up to the nearest cinema halls. Starring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone, the film has them in animated version with some of the best technology put to use by director Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin.

The film released in nearly 2,000 theatres across the world in many languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, Punjabi and Bhojpuri. The multi-million flick, the first Indian film to be shot on motion-capture technology, stars Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, R Sarath Kumar and many others.

Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya has wielded the megaphone with double Oscar-winner A R Rahman scoring the 
music. The movie released to a good opening, industry sources said. Earlier, advanced reservations had elicited good response.
 
By acting in the film shot on motion-capture technology, Rajinikant has come a long way from his humble debut in veteran filmmaker, Dadasaheb Phalke recipient K Balachander's
'Aboorva Ragangal' (1975), making him probably the only Indian actor to star in all formats of movie-making--black and white, 
colour and motion capture.

He last tweeted on May 16 and on the day of the release he said,
