If Seemandhra employees are forced on us, we will not allow them to work, says KCR
KCR announces increment for all government employees in Telangana
Hyderabad: Telangana CM-designate K. Chandrasekhar Rao warned Seemandhdra employees not to anger people of Telangana. “We don’t want to fight with anyone. But if you finger us, we will hit back. I am ready for a fight. I don’t budge from my stand. Distribution of employees should be strictly based on nativity. If they force Seemandhra employees on us in Secretariat, we will not allow them to work,” he said.
“Telangana Secretariat is a key place. When you have the Chief Minister, chief secretary, intelligence chief and others from Telangana, how can we have Seemandhra employees there,” he said.
Mr Rao on Thursday held a meeting with Telangana employees in the wake of the controversy surrounding distribution of government employees for the two states, at a function hall in Kompally near here. He also announced that Genco alone would produce power for Telangana and the government would not allow private power producers.
He announced a special Telangana increment for all government employees, promotions to staff, largescale recruitment in the next two or three months, scrapping of contract employee system and regularisation of contract employees, central government scales to state staff, government scales for RTC staff, amenities for women staff including child care centres, hygienic toilets and other infrastructure in all government offices.

Referring to distribution of IAS, IPS and IFS officers, Mr Rao said the DoPT would finalise the same after the Modi government assumed office in the Centre since outgoing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh did not sign the file.
However, chief secretary P.K. Mohanty stated that there would be stop-gap arrangements till the Centre approved the list of officers.
Stating that IAS, IPS and IFS officers should function in a democratic manner and work for the good of the people, Mr Rao said, “I don’t want to be like other Chief Ministers. I will work in tandem with employees and give no scope for dharnas at Indira Park. Let India learn from Telangana state,” he added.
In a lighter vein, he said there were two ministerial aspirants in Mr Swami Goud and Mr Srinivas Goud.
“You have to come to my rescue on who should be given a Cabinet berth. They are like my two eyes,” he remarked.
Immediately there was chorus to give Cabinet berths to both.
