Cops, intelligence fail to notice Narendra Modi's wife during her pilgrimage
Police came to know when 'Modi fans’ and media broke the news
Bellary: She is no ordinary woman but PM-designate Narendra Modi’s wife. But none of Jashodaben’s 1,300-odd co-pilgrims, knew about her presence during their 11-day pilgrimage to Hampi-Anegundi.
Many of them came to know about her identity on the last day of pilgrimage, on May 21 when some ‘Modi fans’ and media broke the news. The police and intel were clueless about her staying.
In a brief chat with BJP workers who met her at Hospet railway station before leaving for Gujarat on May 21, Jashodaben, without naming her husband said she took a “sankalp” to visit holy places to see that Mr Modi becomes the PM. “We have not divorced, we are not separated in that way. We are together. He left to serve the country,” she said.
