London: England captain Alastair Cook will miss Sunday's second One-Day International against Sri Lanka at Chester-le-Street due to a painful right groin.

England had already called up the uncapped Alex Hales as batting cover at the top of the order and the captaincy will go to Eoin Morgan.

The home side lead the five-match series 1-0 after an opening win at The Oval on Thursday.
