Mumbai: The much-awaited trailer of Dharma Productions' next ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania’ is finally out. The tratiler features the innocent Alia Bhatt in completely different avatar and her co-star, the hunky Varun Dhawan playing a cute, happy-go-lucky boy.
The film is a tribute to 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge' by Karan Johar, who was an assistant director in that film. The film is slated to release on July 11.
Note the similarities in the official film poster of ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania’. Varun and Alia are seen in the middle of a sunflower field, much like Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan in ‘DDLJ’.
Varun, who plays the lead,Humpty Sharrma is a cricket fan and Kavya Pratap played by Alia Bhatt is a Kareena Kapoor fan.
The Dharma Productions team, recently payed a special tribute to filmmaker karan Johar, by compiling a photo montage of candid, unseen photos of his early days, when he was just starting his film career. Read about it here.
