Two groups clash in Ahmedabad, situation under control

Ahmedabad: Clashes between two groups erupted in the Gomtipur area of Ahmedabad on Sunday night. Clashes resulted in some shops and vehicles, including a bus, being set on fire, police said.

The two groups resorted to arson and stone pelting. City Commissioner of Police Shivanand Jha said the situation was brought under control.

A couple of persons were injured in the clashes and were taken to a nearby hospital, they said. The cause of the clash was yet to be ascertained, said police.
