K Chandrasekhar Rao to take oath on June 2, Chandrababu Naidu on 8th
KCR will take oath at 8.15 am, but will assume office at 12.57 pm the same day
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to take oath as the first Chief Minister of Telangana state on June 2 at 8.15 am.
This was confirmed by senior legislator from the party Mr K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday.
“Mr Chandrasekhar Rao will take oath on June 2 morning, but he will go to the Secretariat and assume office at 12.57 pm the same day,” Mr Rama Rao told Deccan Chronicle.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao will take the oath in Raj Bhavan along with 14 other ministers to make it a 15-member Cabinet. As promised earlier, Mr Rao will sign the first file relating to payment of ex gratia to families of Telangana martyrs. The next file that Mr Rao will sign will be on waiver of farm loans to a tune of '1 lakh. He will also hold the first Cabinet meeting on the same day, sources added.
Meanwhile, TD sources have confirmed that Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu will be sworn in as Seemandhra Chief Minister on June 8.
However, the venue and exact time of swearing-in has not yet been finalised. Mr Srinivasa Gargeya, the astrologer of Mr Naidu had said, “Time is still being worked out, but the date is June 8. It is learnt Mr Naidu will have his swearing-in ceremony at a place between Vijayawada-Guntur.
