Chennai: Tollywood girl Sri Divya who impressed everyone with her captivating looks and performance in her very debut film, Varutthapadatha Vaalibar Sangham, is said to be teaming up with none other than Karthi for a movie, titled Komban, and directed by Muthaiah of Kutti Puli fame.

A little birdie tells us that Karthi will be playing the role of a rural lad as the film is a village action entertainer. Sources add that his rustic role will be similar to his debut, Parutthiveeran, which brought him critical acclaim.

Veteran actor Raj Kiran has been roped in play Karthi’s father-in-law in a pivotal role. The buzz is that initially, Lakshmi Menon was approached for the female lead, but could not take up the film due to the lack of dates. The offer then fell in the lap of young Sri Divya who has three films in her kitty, including Pencil with G.V Prakash.

The new project will go on the floors next month after Karthi completes his current film, Madras, with Ranjith of Attakatthi fame.
