Kochi: It was the most surprising moment in their life. In the recently declared Class XII CBSE board exam results, twins Lakshmi Pisharody and Gowri Pisharody of Campion School, Edappally, Kochi, became toppers in the science stream at the school by scoring an exactly 94.8 percent marks.

They never thought such an identical figure would come, but are very happy about it as they say they want always to be equal, be it with a lower mark or higher mark.
The ‘vegetarians’ have same tastes and have been dining together, studying together, engaging in same pastime together and wearing the same dress.

“If one of us used to get higher mark in one  term, the other one will come on top in the next term, making both of us happy. This time it was the most surprising moment in their life,” said Lakshmi and Gowri in one voice.

While Gowri and Lakshmi got same marks for physics (95), chemistry (95) and biology (94) this time, in English Gowri scored higher at 95 while Lakshmi had to be content with 93 marks.
But to make both of them happy and leveling the aggregate percentage, Lakshmi got better with 97 marks in Maths while Gowri got 95 marks.

“Both are hard working and are always together. They have been an inspiration for rest of the students,” said Campion School Principal Leelamma Thomas adding that the school could roll out an impressive figure of 63 distinctions and 50 first class in its 100 percent success this time.

Both Lakshmi and Gowri want to go for medicine in merit quota and want to either specialize in neurology or cardiology. Their father K Madhu is a manager with a private firm in Kochi while mother Prema is a housewife and are living at Kakkanad.
