Andhra Pradesh to get world class hospital
Medical and health deaprtment officials have started process to identify land for the hospital
Hyderabad: With just days left for the residuary state of AP to start functioning independently from June 2, officials have started making preparations for massive infrastructure development projects in Seemandhra.
Officials of the medical and health department have started the process to identify land for the development of a world-class hospital on the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
After picking half-a-dozen venues, the proposals would be sent to the Centre to approve one of the six sites and subsequently release grants and relevant permissions. Officials have requested the Collectors of all the 13 districts to identify vast open stretches land (measuring up to 500 acres).
If the departments do not own such a large piece of land at one location, the AP government is even willing to acquire the land from private parties by paying compensation. The district administration heads have been asked to identify the areas where the government will not face any problems in land acquisition.
