Narendra Modi focuses on timely delivery
Modi emphasised on efficient governance and implementation of schemes
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Union Cabinet meeting emphasised that the “most important” aspect that needs to be focused on are efficient governance, delivery and implementation of schemes and programmes, parliamentary affairs minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said.
While focusing on these aspects, the government will take forward on a priority basis issues pending from the previous government. He asked Cabinet ministers to take ministers of state along, and give them “proper” work so they feel involved.
Mr Modi also told his colleagues, at their second meeting in two days, that he would regularly meet them, as well as the secretaries, individually, Mr Naidu added.
Answering a question, Mr Naidu said issues like price rise, agriculture and women’s security will naturally be a priority as these are focus areas of the government.
“The expectations of people are high, different sections have different priorities. Every section is important,” he said.
