Gold and silver prices subdued
Standard Gold, pure gold and silver exhibited a fall in prices

Mumbai: Standard gold (99.5 purity) opened weak at Rs 27,660 and plunged further to a low of Rs 26,975 before concluding at Rs 27,030 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 27,695, exhibiting a fall of Rs 665, or 2.40 per cent per 10 grams.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) also resumed lower at Rs 27,810 and drifted further to Rs 27,125 before finishing at Rs 27,180 as compared to Rs 27,845 last weekend, revealing a loss of Rs 665, or 2.39 per cent per 10 grams.
Silver ready (.999 fineness) opened subdued at Rs 41,550 and hovered between Rs 41,650 and Rs 40,520 before settling at Rs 40,830 as against previous weekend level of Rs 41,670, showing a loss of Rs 840, or 2.02 per cent per kg.
