Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey will air a night-long tribute to the late Maya Angelou.

Winfrey’s channel OWN has altered its regular schedule to mark the passing of the acclaimed author, who died at the age of 86 earlier in the week, reported E! online.

The network will begin the tribute with a compilation of interviews with Angelou on The Oprah Winfrey Show, followed by a two-hour episode.

Winfrey has paid tribute to Angelou, saying, “I’ve been blessed to have Maya Angelou as my mentor, mother or sister, and friend since my 20’s.

She was there for me always, guiding me through some of the most important years of my life. The world knows her as a poet but at the heart of her, she was a teacher.”
