Expectations galore? Modi budget to give more jobs

New Delhi: After it came to power riding on an inspirational mandate, the Narendra Modi government has now entered a phase where it has to deliver goods thick and fast.

With the Union Budget round the corner, there are expectations from across all sections of the Indian society that the exercise will unveil measures to curb inflation, create jobs, speed up infrastructure projects and create a conducive environment to attract foreign direct investment (FDI).

According to experts, there are a few urgent matters which need to be addressed in the first Budget when finance minister Arun Jaitley unveils it in the Lok Sabha in July.
