Top Lashkar-e-Taiba militant killed in encounter in Kashmir

Srinagar: An unidentified Lashkar-e-Taiba militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Kupwara district of Kashmir on Sunday.

"An unidentified Lashkar-e-Taiba militant was killed in a gun battle with security forces at Sodal in Handwara area of Kupwara," a police spokesman said.

He said further details of the incident were awaited.
