Super Subbarayan turns villain for Karthi in his next
Movie is directed by Muthaiah of Kutti Puli fame
Chennai: Though we have seen dance choreographers putting in a cameo appearance with lead actors in song sequences in Tamil films, seldom do stunt choreographers come in front of the camera though with a few exceptions, like Kanal Kannan who turned an actor in vain. At a time when actors from Hollywood and Bollywood are being brought on board to play stylish antagonists, here is Karthi who is opting for a local stunt master to do the job. According to close sources, ace stunt choreographer Super Subbarayan has been brought on board as a powerful villain for Karthi who returns to donning a rural lad’s role after a long gap in his upcoming movie, Komban.
Since the film is set in the backdrop of village, the filmmakers needed a ruffian as their baddie. It is heard that Sri Divya who was touted to play Karthi’s love interest has been dropped since she demanded Rs 50 lakhs as remuneration. The filmmakers have gone back to Lakshmi Menon, their first choice. The movie is directed by Muthaiah of Kutti Puli fame. Raj Kiran is in the pivotal role of Karthi’s father-in-law.
