Techie killed in road mishap, truck seized

Hyderabad: A techie was killed in a road mishap on Outer Ring Road at Narsingi on Thursday. The victim, who works for Wipro Technologies, was on his way to office when the accident occurred. He was hit by a truck which approached him from the opposite direction. Both the vehicles were taking a turn on the curvy road.

The victim, identified as A. Srun Yadav, 29, is a resident of Jilalnagar.

Police said Arun reached Narsingi at around 10.30 am when the incident occurred. Both vehicles were moving in opposite directions on the curvy road. The truck driver who was driving in a rash, negligent manner hit Arun’s bike.

“Arun came under the wheels of the truck. Though he had a helmet on he suffered a grave head injury. Passersby shifted him to hospital in a 108 ambulance, where he was declared dead. The accident occurred only because of the negligence of the truck driver,” said Dhanunjay, the investigating officer at Narsingi police station.

A case under Section 304 A (death due to negligence) was registered. The truck was seized, and a manhunt is on for the driver. The victim’s body was shifted to Osmania Hospital, and was later handed over to his family after autopsy.
