5 dacoits arrested in Chittoor village in AP

Tirupati: Five members of a notorious dacoit gang — Shabeer Ali, Bujju, Hasan, Sharf and one more person  — were arrested by the Hyderabad CCS sleuths at Madanapalle in Chittoor on Friday.

Madanapalle police said that the gang, which was involved in over a 100 dacoity, murder, rape and other cases in Mumbai, was hiding in Vijayanagar Colony near Madanapalle for the last five days.

The Hyderabad CCS sleuths received a tip off and reached Madanapalle on Friday and picked up the five members.

Hasina Bhanu and Sheik Jabbar who provided shelter to the gang were also arrested.
