Vijayawada: Vijayawada will witness a national-level mega political meet after 30 years when Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu takes oath as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 8.
In the past, the Telugu Desam Party had held a National Front meeting led by its chairman N.T. Rama Rao here. Several national leaders such as V.P. Singh, Chandra Shekhar and Farooq Abdullah were present. It was the last national level meeting conducted in the district three decades ago.
This time, TDP leaders are expecting the Prime Minister and at least three chief ministers. Actors Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan, and Junior NTR are also expected.
