Chandrababu Naidu's swearing-in: Security beefed up amid terror alert
Poster of absconding terror suspects of Indian Mujahideen were pasted near the venue
Guntur: As more than 300 VIPs including chief ministers of various states and union ministers will take part in the swearing in of N Chandrababu Naidu, special teams of anti-naxal and anti-terror cops have been deployed at the venue near Mangalgiri. Posters of CPI Maoist action teams and absconding terror suspects of Indian Mujahideen were pasted near the venue asking people to alert the cops of they spot them.
The photo of Maoist action team member Takkelapalli Vasudeva Rao was also among the list. He is the key absconding Maoist wanted for attack on Naidu at Alipiri in Tirupati in 2003. A senior police official in charge of security arrangements said "we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safety of VIPs. Not only Naidu the safety of the other CMs and crowd is important.
Anti-naxal Special Intelligence Branch sleuths and anti terror Counter Intelligence sleuths are deployed to spot suspects". Greyhounds teams conducted combing operation in the area surrounding the venue.
Meanwhile Governor ESL Narasimhan has arrived at Vijayawada on Sunday morning. Several dignitaries visited goddess Kanakadurga temple.
