Telangana CM hopes Andhra Pradesh will develop under the leadership of Naidu

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao  on Sunday congratulated Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on his assuming office and reiterated that he would extend all help for the progress of both Telugu speaking states in the country. Addressing a press conference here, Mr Rao also expressed the hope that the TD chief would steer Andhra Pradesh’s development in the years to come and wished well for both him and the state.

“Today, Mr Chandrababu Naidu will be sworn in as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. I wish him all the best and I congratulate the people of Andhra Pradesh on this occasion,” he said. Mr Rao said he had worked with Mr Naidu when the latter was the Chief Minister and assured him complete co-operation. “The spirit of Telugu speaking people is the same though we may be in two states now. We will ensure that both states prosper at the same time,” he said. The Telangana Chief Minister did not attend the swearing-in though he was invited for the grand function.
