Delhi temperature expected to climb to 46 degree Celsius

Humidity was recorded at 31 per cent in the morning hours

New Delhi: Severe heat wave persisted in the national capital on Tuesday with the maximum temperature expected to climb to around 46 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.1 degree Celsius, according to MeT department officials.

Humidity was recorded at 31 per cent in the morning hours. The MeT department has predicted a clear sky with no rain or storm for the day.

These readings were of the Safdarjung observatory, considered to be the official reading for the city.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 45.5 degree Celsius, six notches above normal and hottest temperature for the month of June in the last ten years in the city.
