Apple is continuously trying to update its HealthKit apps on iOS 8

Mumbai: Apple’s keynote mentioned a plethora of new features on the new iOS 8 platform for iPhones and iPads. One feature which was included was on security and it seems like the new feature could bring about a new industry standard.

When you pass by a wireless hotspot, your phone communicates to it, weather it is open or protected. Usually, any phone or tablet (even laptops), give out the hardware ID even before you connect to it. This helps marketing hunters to send spam, tracking software to identify the device and hackers to get into your device with the ID information.

To eliminate this possibility, Apple has strengthened the security feature of iOS 8 by not letting out the device ID of the device unless it is successfully connected to the hotspot.

Apple is going to make it difficult for trackers to get the location of the device without consent, making the device and its tracking virtually impossible.
