Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for connecting with grassroots activists and his well-wishers. Here is one more example. Amid his busy schedule just before the swearing-in, Mr Modi did not forget to wish one of his ardent followers, who was getting married.

Mr Rajesh Padmar, a city resident and a biology lecturer, has been an ardent follower of Mr Modi on Twitter and other social media over the last few years.

On May 11, Mr Padmar got married at his hometown in Kasaragod district of Kerala.

He had forwarded the digital and hard copies of his marriage invitation to Mr Modi. To his surprise, Mr Padmar received a four-page greeting card from Mr Modi’s Chief Minister’s Office, wishing him on his marriage on Monday, June 2.

Mr Padmar told Deccan Chronicle that he was surprised to get a reply.

“Invitation was in my father’s name and Modiji had sent the letter to my father. It was of four pages which included a few Sanskrit phrases and English translations on marriage and a wish letter,” he said.
