New Delhi: The Centre will bring an executive order to allow Rajya Sabha members from Telangana and AP, who have been allotted to the other state, to spend their MPLAD in their native state.

The need arose after five RS members from Telangana were allotted to AP, and two hailing from Seemandhra were made to represent Telangana during a draw of lots.

Following this, the MPs had asked the parliamentary affairs ministry to amend laws to ensure that they don’t represent the other region.
