Chennai: Rumours are rife in K’town that a renowned actor from yesteryear, Mic Mohan, will be playing the antagonist in Suriya’s next film, Poochandi, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film has already raised great expectations as the Saroja director has roped in Amy Jackson and Nayanthara in the female leads.

Sources close to the unit say that Mohan, who was not seen in the industry for a long time, might play a prominent role in the film and that it would be a character with grey shades. It’s a known fact that Venkat Prabhu always brings in actors who have not been in the limelight for a while.

He did the same in Biriyani too, roping in actor Ramki for a vital role. In an earlier interview to DC, Venkat Prabhu had said that the film would be set in the backdrop of Chennai, and it would be about a theme that the audience would not be able to predict easily.

On Suriya’s role, he said, “I can assure you that he has not done any such roles in previous films.” The film is likely to go on the floors from July once Suriya completes his shoot for Anjaan.
