Two arrested in Hyderabad for posting pictures, abusive messages on websites
Accused had made malicious and defamatory comments on Sharmila and Prabhas
Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested on Friday for allegedly posting objectionable pictures, abusive messages and comments on the websites of YSR Congress leader Sharmila and Telugu movie actor Prabhas, police said.
Sreepathi Naresh, a web designer and Jannapu Reddy Kartheek, a private sector employee, were arrested by Cyber Crime Police from here and efforts were on to nab other accused, Cyber Crimes Police Inspector P Raju said.
The accused had made malicious and defamatory comments on Sharmila and Prabhas on their websites, he said. After a complaint was lodged on behalf of Sharmila, the
Cyber Crime Police lodged a case and during investigations, the duo were arrested, the inspector said.
"The accused created or copied the links from YouTube. They wanted to make money with their website ratings and advertisements. So they created www.telugunewscorner.com and www.tandhra.in websites where they posted news related to cinema and politics as well as other news to attract the public," Raju said.
