I&B plans tutorials on social media

New Delhi: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself leading the way on the social media and his directive asking minist-ries to utilise the space, the Union information and broadcasting ministry is preparing tutorials for various departments for a successful debut in the endeavour.

While asking ministries to identify tech savvy officials on its rolls to handle the social media outreach progra-mme, the I&B ministry will deliver guidance on creating from basics like creating a Twitter handle or Facebook page, to posting photographs and other details on these.

The government officials are also expected to be trained in handling  social media so as to evolve this new media outreach programme for the country.
