FIFA World Cup 2014: Colombia registers comfortable victory over Greece

Belo Horizonte : Goals from Armero, Gutierrez and Rodriguez helped Colombia register a comfortable 3-0  victory over Greece in their opening Group C encounter.  Greece kicked off the game but it was Colombia who struck early through  Armero who scored early as 5th minute of the match. Gutierrez then added second goal whiel Rodriguez selaed the match with injury time goal and earn three points for the South American side. Even though Greece had major share of possesion they failed to convert the few chances they had. In the end it was Colombia's clinical performance which earned them an easy victory.

• Colombia took early lead through Pablo Armero who scored the opening goal in 5th minute as Cuardrado feeds in the ball

Its half time Colombia are ahead thanks to goal from Armero. Kone probably could have levelled for Greece just before the half time whistle but hios shot was saved by Colombian Keeper Ospina to keep his team in lead

• 47th min : Samaras goes down into the box the Greece team demand for penalty only to be denied by referee
• 49th min:  Rodriguez shot  palmed away by greece keeper

• 52nd min: Papastathopoulos gets yellow card
• 55th min : Dimitris Salpingidis gets yellow card
• 56th min : Greece substitution Fetfatzidis coming on the field for Salpingidis

• 58th min: Gutierrez  scored Colombia second goal
• 63rd min : Kone puts an excellent cross towards the far post before knocked back Torosidis big chance for Greece to come back into the match but Gekas header comes back on the crossbar 

• 68th min : Double substitution for Colombia Mejia comes in for Aguilar
• 74th min : Colombia substitution Arias comes in for Armero who scored the opening goal 
• 76th min. Colombia Substitution Jackson Martinez comes in Teófilo Gutiérrez
• 85th min : Samaras goes close as he curls his effort just wide of keepers goal post

• 90+ 3 min: Cuadrado runs forward down the right hand side, before picking up Zuniga who pokes the ball in path of Rodriguez who coolly slots teh ball past Karnezis  to sela the game
