Uruguay take on Costa Rica without Suarez

Uruguay and Costa Rica

 Uruguay will be playing their  opening match of the World Cup  2014  against Costa Rica at Castelao, Fortaleza. They will be missing the service of their talismanic striker Luis Suarez in this match due to knee injury. CoachTabarez have decided to rest the striker.

Urguay who finished in third position in the last edition  would be looking to go one better this time around.  The side still will  have full strength squad which consists of talents like talents  like Forlan and Cavani.

Costa Rica on the other the other hand will be playing spoil sport in the group and the match . Group D consist of  England, Italy and Uruguay   and Costa Rica will have a big task in hand to qualify from the group as their opposite numbers will be trying to take maximum points out of them. 

Todays match will be important for both the teams as the winner will get a chance to take control of the group and put pressure on rest of the teams in the group. Costa  Rica have failed to register victory over South American side so far. They were defeated by brazil in 1990 and 2002 and Ecuador in 2006
