India vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI: India outplay Bangladesh in a game dominated by bowlers

Dhaka: Stuart Binny and Mohit Sharma powered India to a terrific win in a low-scoring game over Bangladesh. Needing 106 runs to win, the hosts were bundled out for 58.

Put into bat first, India tumbled out 105 in 25.3 overs . Making his debut, Taskin Ahmed wrecked havoc by scalping five wickets.

Chasing a below-par total, Bangladesh were left clueless. Bangladesh lost two wickets quickly. Anamul Haque went for a duck while Tamim Iqbal made four runs. Bangladesh were 19/2 in 5 overs.

It was a strange dismissal by Stuart Binny as Mushfiqur Rahim was out for a simple catch by wicketkeeper Saha. Bangladesh were 44/3 in 11.3 overs, chasing 106 to win. From that moment, the match was back to its ' highlights package' scene as Bangladesh lost wickets in bundles.

Playing only in his thrid ODI for India, Stuart Binny registered his name  in the records book. His 6 wickets for 4 runs is the best ODI spell by an Indian bowler. Mohit Sharma gave him a solid company by dismissing 4 Bangladesh batsmen.

Earlier, Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and chose to field in the second one-day international against India at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

India lost Ajinkya Rahane in the first over when he was caught plumb in front by Mashrafe Mortaza. Following Rahane's dismissal, Pujara joined Uthappa in the middle. The duo were watchful as India managed to score 14 off first 5 overs. As the sixth over commenced, the match was halted due to rain interruption.

After rain stoppage, the match was reduced to 41 overs/side game. After the resumption of play, Bangladesh struck quickly to get out Robin Uthappa. Ambati Rayudu who replaced Uthappa in the middle, did not last long as Taskin Ahmed trapped him LBW.

Suresh Raina, who came in to bat at number 5, did not watse too much time as he launched into the attack. India brought up their fifty in the 13th over. But Pujara's departure in the 14th over continued Bangladesh's domination. India were dealth with a major blow when the teamwork of Al-Amin Hossain and Mashrafe Mortaza ran out Indian skipper Suresh Raina. Wridhiman Saha too did not contribute much with the bat.

While Akshar Patel made a bright start hitting 2 boundaris on the first 4 balls he faced. His stay in the middle was brief. India were reduced to 75/7 in 18 overs. Making his debut, Taskin Ahmed rattled the Indian inning.

India's reckless batting display came to an end when Shakib Al Hasan dismissed Umesh Yadav in the 26th over. Indai were all out for 105.

India, who won the opening match on Sunday by seven wickets, brought in all-rounder Stuart Binny in place of off-spinner Pervez Rasool for the day-night clash.

For Bangladesh, Mithun Ali came in for Mominul Haque and Taskin Ahmed replaced Abdur Razzak.
