Amazon will be launching their first smartphone at an event in Seattle today. The device is the most awaited smartphone since previous reports and leaks state that the phone will produce glassless 3D pictures and will hold six cameras. The rumour mill also stated that the 3D display will give you a different experience on the Amazon online shopping portal. The device will allow you to rotate the products on the screen before you can click on the ‘buy’ button from the online store. Additionally, the phone is also rumoured to have gesture controls without the need of touching the phone.  The phone is said to have a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 720 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM.

According to TechnoBuffalo, T-Mobile is also having an event on the same day, but at a different location in Los Angeles, and there could be a possibility of the two events to have something in common. Maybe, Amazon will launch the new phone along with the carrier partner T-Mobile. The news is presently unconfirmed about the two linked in some way, but we shall get to know soon by day end. Stay tuned.

To tease the world, Amazon has put up a video which does not reveal the phone, but captures the reaction of people using the phone. Have a look.
