Appropriate sleep time can help your phone’s battery life last longer

Mumbai: Instant messaging, emails or trying out a new social networking app is what helps you be connected. But if you run low on battery while travelling or so, don’t you miss checking out for updates  on your smartphone? Battery life can be considered as the backbone of Android phone, Windows phones or iPhone  .

Set up an appropriate Sleep time: Setting up an appropriate Sleep time on your phone can help you in saving your phone. Its important that you study all the functionalities and settings of your phone carefully.  Setting your sleep time ‘upto 30 seconds or 1minute after inactivity’ can be your first step for a better battery life.

Turn off the internet when not required: Unless and until there’s no constant online messaging, it’s better to switch off your GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi. Turn off radio FM, including cellular connectivity,when not required can also help you preserve your battery life. by selecting the 'airplane mode' 

Remember to lock your phone: Always lock your smartphone when you aren’t using it. Besides saving your battery life, it will save you from accidentally turning on the phone when it’s in your pocket or purse.

Make sure your phone is in room temperature:  Leaving your phone in your car’s dashboard on a summer day or frigid winter night might just drain off your battery. So make sure your phone is kept in normal room temperature 32 degrees to 95 degrees.

Carry a portable charger or an extra battery: If you are out on a trek or out ona long journey, carrying an extra battery can help you save your phone. Portable chargers of Transcend, AsiaPower  or Sony will help you use your phone even  when there’s no charging point in and around you. But make sure you remember to charge your portable charger via USB before you leave for any outing.

Charge your phone on Airplane mode: Switch your phone to airplane mode, it will enable much faster charging. At the same time make sure that you don’t over charge your phone. This can inturn damage your battery.

Switch off your phone for 10 minutes every day: Switching off you phone for 10 minutes will help the battery cool down after a busy day of texting, listening to music etc.
