Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM, other ministers assume charge
Security of women would be a top priority, said N Chinarajappa
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers K E Krishna Murthy, N Chinarajappa and several other ministers assumed charge on Sunday.
Krishna Murthy, who handles the revenue portfolio and Chinarajappa, who looks after the Home department, assumed charge at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat.
Security of women would be a top priority, Chinarajappa said, since the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had promised to set up a system to respond swiftly after receiving information about crimes against women.
Several other ministers, including Ayyanna Patrudu (Panchayati Raj), K Mrunalini (Housing), P Pulla Rao (Agriculture), P Sujatha (Women's Empowerment) and P Manikyala Rao (Endowment), have also assumed charge on Sunday.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and ministers had taken oath of office at a grand public event on June 8 at Guntur.
