Hyderabad: Three new Metro trains have arrived from South Korea, and they will be tested along with the first one that had arrived in May. The trains have three coaches each. Seven trains are required for Stage-I Metro corridor, from Nagole to Mettuguda. With the arrival of the four trains, Hyderabad Metro Rail officers are confident that the trials will be successful.

All the trains that arrive from South Korea will have to undergo stringent tests to ensure that they are safe for travel. Officers of HMR are glad as the arrival of the trains ahead of schedule gives them sufficient time for elaborate tests and trial runs for safety certification by the commissioner of Metro Rail Safety. Initially, the frequency of the trains will be 5 to 10 minutes during peak hours, which will be later brought down to 2 minutes.
