Hyderabad: Four more bodies of VNR students were fished out from the Beas River in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, 14 days after they were washed away. The total number of bodies retrieved so far has touched 17.
The bodies of seven more students and that of a tour guide are yet to be recovered. Search teams recovered the bodies which surfaced in the Pandoh Dam area situated 15 km away from the mishap site. Out of the four, three were identified as B. Ritwik, C.H. Parmeshwar and N. Kiran Kumar, according to Mandi SP, R.S. Negi.
One more body recovered at the spot is yet to be identified. All the victims are students of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology. The mishap took place on June 8 when water was released from Larji dam suddenly without warning.
