Ranbir Kapoor vs Sushant Singh Rajput: It’s the clash of the sleuths
Next year Ranbir’s 'Roy' will clash with Sushant’s 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshi'
Mumbai: This clash of the young Turks is likely to be an interesting one because it has never happened before. Ranbir Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput are two of the most sought after actors in Bollywood today, and when their films compete with each other, one can expect some fireworks.
On the weekend of Valentine’s Day next year, Ranbir’s Roy will clash with Sushant’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. The latter was confirmed to arrive on February 13 for long but for Roy it is a recent development. Earlier, both films were supposed to arrive this year.
In fact, if things had gone according to plan then the actors would have also clashed with Bombay Velvet and P.K. Not many know that Sushant has a meaty role in the Aamir Khan-starrer. But a clash was on the cards nonetheless and it’s all set to happen in 2015. “It will be interesting to see how the audience responds to these films arriving on V-Day. They are not quintessential romance films. Both are crime thrillers,” says a trade observer.
