Vijayawada: A rest house is being given final touches to accommodate AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his family when they come to Vijayawada.
The two-storey house belonging to a close relative of Mr Naidu, is being renovated even though there is a state government guest house in the vicinity. The house is close to NH-5. It is between Nagarjuna University, where a capital for the new state is expected to come up and the Gannavaram airport.
A high capacity generator was installed in the house on Monday. In addition to that, speed breakers have come up on all sides of the building. Police visited the building recently and took photographs to prepare a security plan, the building watchman Indrajha said.
A car garage shed owner was told to vacate in two months as it was very close to the house. Mr Naidu’s son Lokesh visited the house many times, revealed an electrician G. Satyanarayana.
House owner Chalasani Ajadkumar, MD of a construction firm, lives in Hyderabad.
