Following footsteps of Amazon, Flipkart launches its own Android tablet

Mumbai: Flipkart has launched its first Android-powered tablet, the Digiflip Pro XT 712. The device is a dual-SIM, dual-standby, calling tablet and runs on the Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2 operating system.

The Digiflip Pro features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels and a pixel depth of 216ppi. It is built using a quad core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.3Ghz, 1GB of RAM and a Mali-400MP2 graphics processor. The internal storage lies at is 16GB and is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.

 

A 5MP camera is equipped on the rear for casual photography, while the front has a 2 MP camera for selfies and video calling.  On its connectivity front, it features Wi-fi, 3G, Bluetooth and microUSB.

Flipkart claims that the Digiflip Pro XT 712 is fuelled by a 3000 mAh Li-Polymer battery which can give you around 8 hours of talk-time or around 7 days of standby time. Bundled along with the tablet are a headset, OTG cable, cleaning cloth, power charger, a data cable and a screen protector.  Flipkart Digiflip Pro XT 712 tablet is priced at Rs 9,999.
