BJP protests against Vidya Balan trying to be 'Narendra Modi'

The actress was trying to resemble the PM to promote ‘Bobby Jasoos’

Mumbai: Vidya Balan on Friday faced opposition from BJP supporters in Vadodara when she was trying to promote her upcoming movie ‘Bobby Jasoos’ the former Gujarat Chief Minister's avatar.

The actress was going to visit his famous tea stall while donning a get up that had some resemblance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, BJP supporters on Friday held protests against the actress as they felt that it would hurt the Modi's image.

According to ENI Network, the activists threatened to throw tomatoes and eggs at Vidya if she went ahead with her plan and also warned that cinema halls that would run her movie will be vandalised.

The BJP chief of Vadodara, Bharat Dangar, reportedly said that Vidya did not carry on with her plan, as she herself is a big fan of Modi and did not want to do anything that would taint his grace.

Vidya will be seen sporting 12 different disguises in 'Bobby Jasoos'.
