Area Development Authority for Gajwel in Medak district
Planing for overall development are among few the authorities need to focus on
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K.Chadrasekhar Rao's home constituency Gajwel in Medak district got a new “Gajwel Area Development Authority”, which has been created by the state government on Friday, for the overall development of the CM’s constituency.
The authority would be headed by the Medak district collector. The government has decided to appoint a Special Officer for the authority, which will prepare a comprehensive master plan for development.
Mr Rao in his maiden speech as CM at a public meeting in Gajwel had promised to develop Gajwel as a ‘model constituency’ with all facilities.
The duties of the authority include planning for overall development of the area and convergence of government programmes, undertaking basic infrastructure works/schemes such as, CC roads, CC drains, water supply schemes, electrification and streetlighting, undertaking innovative livelihood programmes for enhancement of productivity and training for employment generation activities linked to skill upgradation, creation of infrastructure for social development such as health, education to achieve desired goals, utilisation of all natural resources like soil and ground water effectively to the optimum levels, undertaking water conservation works/schemes to ensure a sustainable agricultural development and establishing and promoting suitable industries especially agro-based industries.
